and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Finland.

Where we are

The area of Hakunila parish consists of areas of Vantaa called
Hakunila, Itä-Hakkila, Länsimäki, Rajakylä, Sotunki and Vaarala.

Sunday Mass in Hakunila church on Sundays at 12 noon, and in Länsimäki church at 10 am.
Sunday school for children every Sunday at 12 noon in Hakunila church.
Masses in Hakunila church are streamed on our Facebook page and can be viewed there for two weeks.
You can also find music moments and other recordings there and on our YouTube channel.

  • Hakunila church is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 10am - 2pm, Wednesday 10am - 3pm and Sunday 11am - 2pm.
  • Church office (Kirkkoherranvirasto) is open only on Mondays 10am - 2pm.
  • Reservations for baptisms, weddings and funerals Monday - Thursday 10am - 2pm 09 830 6507.
  • Other reservations only on Monday 10am - 2pm 09 830 6500 and hakunilan.seurakunta@evl.fi
  • Priest on call Monday - Thursday 10am - 2pm 09 830 6507,
    available at Hakunila church (Hakunilantie 48) without appointment on Mondays 10am - 2pm.

  • Parking control is introduced in the parking lots of Hakunila and Länsimäki churches. The purpose of parking enforcement is to ensure that people visiting the church have space to park their cars when they arrive for services, funerals, baptisms or weekly activities. Parking enforcement is organised and fines are collected by an external company. However, the parish has the possibility to contact the company in case of error or misunderstanding.
    Please do this when you arrive at the Hakunila or Länsimäki church:

  • 1. park your car in the church parking lot and put the parking disc to indicate the next half hour.

  • 2. You have 30 minutes to go from the main entrance of the church to the lobby and enter your registration number into the parking machine there.

  • 3. Once your license plate number is entered into the machine, you are permitted to park in the church parking lot for the duration of your visit.

    The church staff will assist you with any parking-related questions.
