Welcome to the website of the Evangelical Lutheran congregations of Vantaa!

Vantaa is a river and also a city (urban municipality) located on the north side of Helsinki.  About 140,000 city residents here are members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland (ELCF).  Whether you live here or are just passing by, you are welcome to join us for worship and other activities.

ELCF has seven congregations (parishes) within the city of Vantaa.  We do not have regular activities in English, but people from many countries have found their way into fellowship with us.  This website introduces us, who we are and how we live and work in the church.  The menu on the left guides you to various topics:  worship, church membership, activities for various age groups, our sacred rites, support that we offer in difficult times, global mission, foundations of our faith and useful links.

This website in English is not updated very often so it does not include news or announcements, but we hope you can find useful basic information here.  We also hope that these pages in English can help you to use our Finnish and Swedish websites where you can find information that is more detailed and up-to-date.
